This exhibition, presented by Caroline Lépinay at one of Venice's historical palaces on its Grand Canal as part of the city's 58th International Art Exhibition of the Biennale, offers a series of tactile creations staged as "opera": each work portrays a story and is paired with music. "Love is Blind / Blind for Love" is made up of nine episodes inspired in their narration by the legend of Cupid and Psyche as told by Apuleius in Metamorphoses, and in their composition by great masters in the fields of music, literature, art and cinema.

The artist wants us to discover a new way of seeing, to heighten awareness on the need to look using not only sight but also other senses, to be more receptive to the people around us and to overcome the barriers of diversity. In fact, the show focuses on the differences between external perception - physical sight - and interior perception made possible by the senses of touch, hearing and smell, inviting visitors to truly see with "the body's eyes".

For these reasons - and thanks to involvement by the Venice branch of the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted - the exhibition may be experienced blindfolded while guided by the blind or partially sighted, who will help visitors to read the artworks through touch, and to recognise their contents. These visitors can then retrace their steps, without the blindfold, to explore perception of art through multi-sensorial stimuli.

Great arias from Italian operas, performed by Luciano Pavarotti, stand as the soundtrack, while three specifically created scents awaken the dimension of smell during this experience.
